Belldandy is a goddess from the heavens who has been sent to Earth to grant a wish of a young man named Keiichi Morisato. Keiichi had accidentally summoned Belldandy while trying to call forth a goddess to grant him a girlfriend. Belldandy, being the kind and compassionate goddess she is, decides to stay with Keiichi as his guardian and love.
